|
The Bible… |
| The Bible is God’s only message
to human beings. When we read it carefully and prayerfully, we
react by believing its message. The Bible is our only authority;
we should read it as often as possible |
|
God… |
| There is only one eternal,
immortal God. Jesus Christ is His only begotten son. The Holy
Spirit is God’s power. |
|
Men and Women… |
| We all disobey God, and
therefore we are all sinners before God. The punishment for sin
is death. Death is the end of all life. Everyone will die. |
|
Jesus Christ… |
| God sent His son, the man Jesus
into the world to save us from our sins. If we believe in Jesus,
we will still die, but not for all time. |
|
Hope… |
| The only hope of life after
death is the Resurrection of the body and everlasting life in
God’s Kingdom on the earth. When the Resurrection occurs, God
will re-form our bodies from the dust. |
|
The Sacrifice of Christ… |
| Jesus never sinned. He died to
show God’s way was right; he died to redeem those who accept and
believe in his sacrifice. God did not leave Jesus dead, but made
him alive for all time. Jesus now has all authority in heaven
and earth. He has made peace between God and ourselves. |
|
The Return of Jesus… |
| Jesus is in heaven with God.
Soon he will return to the earth. He will make alive his
followers, and give them everlasting life in the kingdom of God. |
|
The Kingdom of God… |
| The Kingdom of God will be
established on the earth. Jesus will be king in Jerusalem. He
will rule the entire world. His government will bring peace and
happiness to everyone. |
|
The Promises… |
| The Promises of the Gospel are
based on the promises made to Abraham, David and others in the
Old Testament of the Bible. These promises come together in
Jesus Christ. |
|
The Way to be Saved… |
|
The way to enter the Kingdom of
God is by faith. The way is: believe in the Bible; obey the
commands of Jesus; repent and confess our sins; be baptised; and
follow Jesus for the rest of our lives. |
